We had a bit of fun on Sunday test-driving the new Mazda MX-5 sports car at its launch in Sydney. It’s a lovely little machine, plenty of power from a modest-sized engine and fabulous ride and handling. I also think it’s a very good-looking car.
Jan’s MX-5 is now eight years old, so she’s thinking about updating. She also liked the new car a lot, so we’ll see what happens. Of course the colour we like – Soul red Metallic – comes at extra cost (sigh!).
Jan might also wait until the 2-litre model arrives at the end of the year. It has a bit more power for not much more money.
The old car is still going very well. Jan just had some parking damage fixed and the whole car detailed and it looks really good. I still love driving around in an open sports car.
