We had a very pleasant evening aboard a boat going round Sydney Harbour looking at the Vivid festival lights. There were spectacular projections onto the Opera House sails and on various other buildings around the harbour. Clever stuff.
We had a meal and a few drinks on board and even a bit of a dance at the disco! The weather has been very warm – over 25 degrees – which has been breaking records for May. In previous years we’ve had to wear overcoats for the Vivid festival but this time I was in shirtsleeves.
Going out on the harbour is a splendid experience at any time, made more special with the lights.
We came off the boat and walked up to Martin place where there were many more amazing light installations – trees growing up buildings, insects crawling along the skyscrapers and lasers shooting all over the place.
